THE ART OF TELLING STORIES
Journalistic Writing & More
Writer Pip Goldsbury has a life-long love of words, but it's the people behind the words that she loves best - their stories, their ideas, their generosity, their trust and their lives.

Pip's skill might be writing but it's listening that's her superpower.
‘It’s fun where my writing has taken me, from regular contributions to magazines, reviewing art, social media for fashion labels, swilling gin while writing copy for a boutique distillery (funny how easily that story flowed!), crafting speeches and international art blogging! There are the CEO's who trust me with their monthly notes, the series of essays on regenerative sustainability, and the stories that have graced the covers of some of New Zealand's most loved magazines.

But there is one consistent – the privilege I feel that all these people have trusted me with their stories, their brands and their livelihoods.
Willing to listen and tell YOUR story, I’d love to hear from you to discuss ways I can support you.' - Pip

Ever After
Art review by Pip Goldsbury

A nationwide magazine dedicated to telling stories that resonate with the Kiwi way of life, Pip joined the team as a regular contributor when Canterbury favourite and Pip's old regular gig, latitude magazine, merged with L&L in 2024.

Read on for her epic travel story to the tropical paradise that is the Philippines...

And then, of course, there's Pip's commercial work: the websites, the CEO notes, the personal profiles and the paid advertorials.

Every now and then she's lucky enough to meet a client who becomes a friend, like Kathryn Picton-Warlow, agent extraordinaire with a damned fine website!

When asked to contribute to this international art blog, writing about the handcoloured photography of one of my favourite New Zealand artists, Susan Badcock, it was a no-brainer.

Commercial Writing

Pip admits there's a certain thrill in bylines and articles that see your name lit up on magazine racks. OK, maybe not in lights but you get the idea!

However, behind the bylines is the core work, the bread and butter: the corporate blogs, the paid advertising, company newsletters, social media...the stuff Pip commits to when others can't.
It might not come with Hollywood lights but helping others is always satisfying.
